Winter Workshops at Willow Greenhouse

This winter, Willow Greenhouse is hosting a series of hour-long workshops designed to spark your creativity, entertain your kids, and keep your green thumbs active.

All of the workshops will have a maximum attendance of 15 people, masks will be required, and the greenhouse will be following social distancing procedures.

Youth Workshops

Recommended for kids ages 3 – 12. Parents will remain on-site to assist their students. Take-home kits are also available.

Winter Bird Feeders: January 23, 11 a.m.

Feed the birds this winter with your own pinecone bird feeder.

Paint & Plant: A Valentine’s Day Gift: February 6, 11 a.m.

Paint and plant your own pot to give as a gift for Valentine’s Day!

Indoor Fairy Garden: February 20, 11 a.m.

Fairies get cold, too! So let’s build them their own indoor fairy garden to get them through the winter!

Chia Pet Head: March 6, 11 a.m.

Create your own chia grass head! Learn how to take care of it then watch it grow. After the grass has reached a good height you can even give it a haircut!

Spring Break Sand Casting: March 20, 11 a.m.

It’s spring break — time for sand and sun! While we can’t guarantee it will be sunny, we can promise there will be sand. Kids will make a sand casting that they can take home.

Nick will lead these instructional workshops. Come prepared with your questions so you can apply the learnings at home. There will also be great sales and specials just for those who attend class!

Growing Veggies at Home 101: January 30, 11 a.m.

Learn everything you need to know about growing veggies at home — from seed to harvest.

Learn about growing and maintaining houseplants all year round.

Create A Houseplant Arrangement: February 17, 2 p.m.

Learn how to create a beautiful houseplant arrangement. Choose from a variety of pots and plants to create your masterpiece. Items will be paid for upon your completion.

Indoor Seed Starting: February 27, 11 a.m.

It’s time to start your seeds inside for a successful outdoor garden. Learn how to start seeds including what kind of soil, water, and light to use. Nick will even impart few tricks of the trade!

Knowledge is power! Discover the common bugs, pests, and diseases that can affect your plants and learn how to prevent or address them.
